Introducing

I love reading fiction and I love creative writing. One of my favorite authors is Dave Eggers, and Chuck Palahnuik also fascinates me. I think Changrae Lee’s writing is eloquent to the point of being elegant. Orhan Pamuk is another favorite – his writing is like a Chopin melody line. Dave Sedaris never fails to make me laugh.

And now I’d like to introduce you to another great writer. He happens to also be a close personal friend of mine, someone who always challenges me to be a better person. I’m glad I can be one of his “girls”. :]

I found a note I had written about him three years ago:

“He is the only person who sees “beauty” in me in areas that even I cannot see. He sees beauty in others, and the only reason that I can point to his ability to do so is – because his own heart is so beautiful. Time and time again I’m so amazed at the glimpses of his heart that I get to see, and time and time again I’m so excited for the amazing things that he will accomplish. I don’t mean amazing as in the standards of our society like Bill Gates multi-billion business or receive a Nobel Prize (although who knows), but I mean amazing like change a life, teach others to see beauty and real hope in the midst of our world, and follow God’s will. If he ever has doubts about how amazing he is – I’m a living example for the change that he brings, because his ability to see beauty, his compassion, and his search for continuing truth and love, is changing me, always. So, the quote that really touched me when he shared it with me, I love it -because it’s him.  “The world was not meant for one as beautiful as you.””

This is where you can access some of his writing:
